Deon Derrico, best known for Doubling Down with the Derricos, has once again raised serious concerns for his children’s safety. He has alleged that his ex-wife, Karen Derrico, is spending time with a man who inappropriately touched one of their daughters. According to court documents, he also claimed that his ex-wife brushed off his concerns after he found some troubling insights in their daughter’s journal.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Deon claims that he found some entries in his daughter’s journal. He alleged that she mentioned a man who spends time with his ex-wife touched her inappropriately when she was young. In turn, he expressed significant concerns about the safety and welfare of his minor children. Deon also asked the court to step in the matter and keep that man away from them.
The former reality TV star also claimed that he conveyed the whole incident to Karen. But she brushed off his concerns. Until now, Deon has not revealed the identity of the man to the public. At the same time, the court documents do not clarify whether he is Karen’s romantic partner or just a friend. Meanwhile, Karen has not made any comment on these allegations in court. Deon also mentioned that 12 of their 13 minor children live in his home. For now, the allegations are still in court.
For those who don’t know, this allegation is another issue in Deon and Karen’s ongoing legal conflict. Although they parted ways in June 2024, they have been fighting over the custody of their kids. In turn, they made several allegations against each other.
Karen was arrested by the police in June 2026 after she allegedly made threats to Deon and their children. She also pleaded not guilty to other charges of stalking and harassment. Karen’s defense attorney denied Deon’s claims and said that he had fabricated the evidence against her.
Karen also blamed Deon for withholding their kids from her. According to her court filing, she claims that he prevented her from having in-person contact with them from April 2026. Karen also accused him of cutting off their video communication in August 2026.
In contrast, Deon has raised concerns about their children’s safety and the people around her. He and Karen share 14 children, 13 minors and one adult child. Therefore, after the divorce, they received joint custody of their kids.

The couple’s life eventually became the subject of TLC’s Doubling Down with the Derricos, which premiered in 2020. The show documented their challenges and joys of raising their big family.
Despite spending 19 years together, Karen and Deon eventually filed for a divorce in June 2024. It was finalized in just two days. Initially, they expressed their plan to co-parent their kids. However, soon they began to have disagreements over their family arrangements and their future goals.
At the same time, Karen wanted to move from Las Vegas to South Carolina to be close to her people, while Deon and his mother were not on board with the plan.
