She claimed that she worries about Kanye all day, but it is a big burden trying to get along with someone you don’t necessarily get along with. Now, in a new revelation, her biographer, journalist Jonathan Van Meter, shared the time Kim had a gun to her head owing to Kanye.
Kim Kardashian had a gun to her head during a trip to Africa
According to Kim Kardashian’s biographer, Jonathan Van Meter, Kim Kardashian had a gun held to her head during a terrifying incident on a trip to Africa in 2018. At the time, Kim was traveling with her then-husband, Kanye West. Revealing details of the incident in the book Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created The Future, Jonathan claimed that “things reached a point of no return” between the reality star and the rapper that October. He wrote:
“Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ told me that she first realized how bad things were for the couple during a 2018 trip to Africa. They were shooting at a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated.”
Farjam told Jonathan that Kanye basically got the local police to believe that there were people who were trying to drug him. The police came after hearing the rapper’s worries and had their guns out. Kanye then made them raid everybody’s rooms. At one point during the incident, “one of the policemen had a gun to Kim’s head.”
Farjam described the situation as “intense” and said that it forced her to call a private jet to get her crew out of there. However, after the incident, Jonathan noted that Farjam ultimately forgave Kanye “because he lives with bipolar disorder, and he was in a manic place.”
Kim Kardashian opened up about co-parenting with Kanye West
In the same book, Kim Kardashian opened up about the “big burden” of co-parenting with Kanye West. She claimed that she is always worried about her ex-husband. One of the reasons that she can’t stop worrying about him is because he is the father of her kids. Kim admitted that she feels it’s a burden of having kids with someone you don’t get along with. She said:
“Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. That’s the father of my kids; I’ll not worry about him. And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that.”
Kim tied the knot with Kanye West in 2014 and got divorced in 2022. In their time together, they welcomed four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. While Kim and Kanye’s old fights and ugly statements were all over the news at the time of their split, now they are doing their best to sail smoothly through their journey as co-parents. Kim revealed that whenever they see each other, they even give each other a hug.
Kim Kardashian expressed her desire to let go of all the negative things that happened in their relationship and after their divorce. She admitted that she wants her children to have a strong relationship with their father. To achieve this, Kim tries to invite Kanye to their home and spend time with the kids. She said:
“Anytime you’re in town, come for dinner with us, see the kids as much as you want, take them out, come over and hang out. That’s their family. So I encourage the relationship with their dad so much.”
