Three people have died in separate traffic accidents across south-east Queensland overnight, as an alarming trend of road fatalities continues.

The first incident was about 6.20pm at Corbould Park near Caloundra, where emergency services responded to reports of a man struck by a car.

Police said the man had exited his stationary Toyota Kluger on Bells Creek Arterial Road when he was hit by a Mitsubishi Fuso truck.

The pedestrian died at the scene and the 30-year-old driver from Nirimba was not hurt.

A short time later, about 6.30pm, emergency services were called to Glenaven near Toowoomba after a car and motorbike crashed on the New England Highway.

The motorcycle rider, a 31-year-old Adare man, was critically injured and died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old East Toowoomba man, was not hurt.

Later that evening, paramedics rushed to The Aspect at Buccan near Beenleigh following reports a Subaru WRX had crashed into a power pole.

A passenger, a 23-year-old Buccan man, died at the scene.

The 24-year-old driver, from New Beith, suffered serious facial injuries and was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

This was eclipsed only by NSW, which recorded 356 deaths over the period.
