Kim Kardashian allegedly had a gun held to her head while in Uganda with her former husband, Kanye West, who believed that people were attempting to drug him, sparking concern
Kim Kardashian allegedly had a “gun to her head” during a foreign trip with Kanye West. The businesswoman and reality star took a trip to Uganda with her former husband, rapper Kanye ‘Ye’ West, in 2018 – and it’s claimed that his behaviour changed rapidly during the trip.
The shocking new claims have been told for the first time in a new biography about Kim, 46. A former executive producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians recalled the terrifying incident during the trip almost a decade ago.
New details of Kim’s life are being detailed in Jonathan Van Meter’s biography, Citizen Kim – The Woman Who Created the Future. And during the trip to Uganda, it’s claimed that West, 49, had been convinced that people were attempting to drug him.

Writing in the book, Jonathan says: “Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, told me that she first realised how bad things were for the couple during a 2018 trip to Africa. They were shooting at a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated.”
According to the book, Farnaz claimed: “He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came, and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms.” During the alleged incident, one of the police officers “had a gun to Kim’s head,” which Farnaz claims was “intense”.
She added to Jonathan: “I ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there.” However, Farnaz went on to add that she “forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco ‘because he lives with bipolar disorder and was in a manic place.'”
The shocking alleged incident came two years after Kim was held at gunpoint by armed thieves who broke into her swanky $14,000-a-night Paris hotel. The TV star came face-to-face with the masked men, dressed as policemen, after they forced their way past the single concierge, who was handcuffed and had a gun pressed to his head.
He was instructed to take them to Kim’s room, where they demanded her engagement ring. During an episode of Keeping Up, Kim bravely revealed how she thought she would be raped and killed. She said: “Then he duct tapes my face and mouth to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs – and I have no clothes on – and he pulls me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought this is the moment they are going to rape me and I fully mentally prepped myself.
“And then he didn’t and he duct taped my legs together and then they had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they are totally going to shoot me in the head. I prayed that Kourtney is going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed.”
She had been in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, with her older sister Kourtney, and close friends, who all decided to go out for the night and took their bodyguard, Pascal, with them as they headed to a club.
Despite Kim and Kanye officially divorcing in 2022, almost a decade after they married in 2014, the couple, despite a previously turbulent relationship, remain amicable. Kim told her biographer that co-parenting could be a “big burden”.
She said: “Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. That’s the father of my kids, I’ll never not worry about him. And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that.”
But she also attempts to put “all the negative things that happened” to the back of her mind. She added: “It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug.”
