The footballing legend was lucky enough to spend the day with Inter Miami fan Huddy, whose mum glowed on Instagram about their ‘dream’ game day meeting this week
David Beckham was captured in an adorable moment as he wrapped his arms around a young boy with Down’s syndrome after giving him a high-five.
The former footballing superstar had a sweet moment with five-year-old Huddy as he visited Miami Freedom Park on Wednesday to watch Inter Miami face off against fellow US-based team Cincinatti. Huddy rushed at the 51-year-old after entering the Miami side’s locker room, to a warm reception from David.
The adorable footage shows the excited youngster, who had donned an Inter Miami shirt, ecstatically greeting the football legend.

In the clip, shared by Huddy’s proud mum, influencer Melanie Droubay, Huddy runs up to David, who gives him an enthusiastic high-five. The young boy then received a warm hug from the footballer, who took his hand and showed him around the locker room.
Huddy was treated to a brief tour of the room, and even allowed to sit on the chair belonging to Lionel Messi, who is contracted with the team until the end of 2028.
The display was welcomed by mum Melanie, who said the meeting was “everything I could have dreamed of and more”. She wrote alongside the post: “I have no words. Just tears in my eyes. Watching Huddy meet Mr. David in person was everything I could have dreamed of and more.
“He was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up with a high five and a hug and after that, they were best buddies. So grateful for David Beckham and his team for making this all possible.”
Huddy was then able to sit in on the game, but not before he walked onto the pitch alongside top team scorer Messi. The game ultimately ended in a draw, but Huddy’s day didn’t end there, as he returned to David for yet more Inter activities.
In a post on Instagram, the two were seen enjoying a run on the pitch wearing Miami shirts emblazoned with the number 23 – David’s team number when he played for Real Madrid.
David also glowed about the opportunity to meet the young fan, saying in his own post that the game night “was a night to remember”.
He wrote alongside his own post on the platform: “Tonight was a night to remember for us all in miami, we had a very special guest come and visit us with the biggest smile and the warmest heart. Thank you to Huddy’s Mom, dad & brothers for sharing these special moments with us x Mr David was very happy.”
