In Dorothy a transgender actor, Jeeva has spent much of her journey navigating a reality where her identity can overshadow her talent. Opportunities that should come down to skill and passion often become battles against prejudice.
But she doesn’t want to be celebrated only for breaking barriers. She wants to be recognised for her performances, her craft and the stories she brings to life on screen.
Her journey brings attention to a larger issue in Indian cinema: transgender artists deserve more than occasional representation. They deserve equal opportunities, meaningful roles and the freedom to build careers without constantly having to prove they belong.
Because representation isn’t just about being seen. It’s about being given the chance to shine.
Celebrate Jeeva’s talent and share her story.
