See you Sunday, Ashton Jeanty.
That essentially sums up Jets head coach Aaron Glenn’s response to Jeanty, the Raiders running back, saying that film study shows some players on the Jets defense — a unit that Glenn calls plays for — don’t want to tackle.
“We have to play on Sunday,” Glenn said, “so that’s the reaction.”
Will the Jets use it as a bulletin board material?
“Listen, this is the NFL, and I get it: Everybody’s motivated by certain things, but your true motivation is each week you get a chance to play,” Glenn said. “But words are always said between players, and that’s just what it is. Our guys will be ready to play.”
Jeanty has 10 forced missed tackles, which is tied for No. 27 in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. The Jets missed 13 tackles last week in a loss to the Dolphins.
Glenn played in an era when young players without much on their résumé other than draft position — such as Jeanty — did not trash talk.
But he understands times have changed.
“Everybody’s different,” Glenn said. “Everybody has a certain personality that they want to bring out and show, and maybe that’s his. But again, you got to play on Sunday and see what happens.”
RB Breece Hall (quad) is in danger of missing his fifth straight game. He is questionable after a limited practice Friday.
“We want to make sure,” Glenn said. “He’s a key cog in what we’re doing. Each time he goes out [to practice], there are certain points he has to hit to make sure we’re all good.”

Hall politely declined an interview request regarding his rehab.
Braelon Allen (ankle), who has performed like a lead back in Hall’s absence, was a full participant Friday.
DT T’Vondre Sweat (knee), EDGE Joseph Ossai (ankle) and OL Max Mitchell (concussion) will not play Sunday after not practicing Friday.
LG Dylan Parham (knee) is questionable after a limited practice. EDGE David Bailey (groin) is doubtful after not practicing.
With the shorthandedness off the edge, the Jets will need to ask preseason standout Nate Lynn (11 defensive snaps so far) to take on a bigger role.
“He’s going to have to play more, and he’s going to have to play well,” Glenn said. “And he will.”
RT Armand Membou will draw one of the toughest matchups of his two-year career Sunday against the Raiders’ Maxx Crosby.
“Letting him know that you’re a dude, you’ve been a dude, and the thing is, he’s going against a top-flight guy that I feel like he can match up with,” Glenn said. “So, obviously, you’re going to need some help with a guy no matter what, but there’s going to be times he’s going to be one-on-one, so go be the guy we all know you can be, the guy that trained his a– off during training camp.”
