McKenna Grace is an American actress and singer who gained attention for portraying younger versions of lead characters. She started at a very early age when she played an important role in the Disney XD sitcom Crash & Bernstein, after which she was seen as Faith Newman in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. McKenna Grace declines to play nude or hypersexual roles and expressed her wish to play a Disney princess
Actress, McKenna Grace expressed her wish to play the role of a Disney princess. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, McKenna revealed that she is not opposed to doing adult roles; however, she is not up for any nudity or hypersexual things right now. Having said that, she respects whoever is working in that particular area, but for her, personally, the idea is really terrifying. McKenna isn’t sure whether this will change ever again. The actress could be quoted as saying:
“At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.”
In the same interview, McKenna mentioned that it’s not that she only does wholesome things. She also referenced her character in Scream, where she was gutted by Ghostface. McKenna went on to reveal that all she wants now is to be a Disney princess. She has not clarified whether she would like to play a live-action Disney princess or an animated one, but she is very enthusiastic about playing the role of a Disney princess.
As of now, she is trying to get jobs and continue working. Grace pointed out how things are different now from the 90s and 2000s, as back then things were not as open through social media as they are now. Grace mentioned how people can now just wait for a new face, and then, after a few days, things just shift, with newfound hate taking place already. She said:
“I’m just out here clawing my way through, trying to get jobs and do things I’m proud of. It’s scary because unlike in the ’90s or early 2000s, where your favourite actors did the same thing in a bunch of movies, now with social media, people get really sick of seeing people really fast. It’s like, ‘This is the hot new commodity, the new face we’ve been wanting.’ Three weeks later, everybody is hating on them.”
McKenna Grace all set to be seen in the new Hunger Games prequel
McKenna is all set to be seen as ‘Maysilee Donner’ in the new Hunger Games prequel, which is set to be released in the theatres on November 20, 2026. In an interview with PEOPLE, Grace revealed that the emotionally and physically demanding production left her wondering if the same things happened to actors in the original movie.
Josh Hutcherson played ‘Peeta Mellark’ in the original Hunger Games films, and as McKenna worked with him, she had a chance to ask the questions she had in her mind. McKenna asked Hutcherson about his experience working on The Hunger Games, recalling him saying, ‘This is crazy.’ McKenna didn’t necessarily ask for advice; she just wanted behind-the-scenes bits from the movie involving Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.
