The Minnesota Vikings are 6-1 and still atop the ultra-competitive NFC North. But after every other division rival won over the weekend, pressure to improve the roster keeps mounting.
Plenty of speculation has surrounded the possibility of the Vikings adding a quarterback or running back to improve an offense that ranks 29th in total yards entering Week 9. But Minnesota may instead opt to bolster a defensive line with several talented yet inexperienced interior players.

One team that could offer interior defensive line help is the Philadelphia Eagles. They have lost six straight games and have already traded center Cam Jurgens, lost RT Lane Johnson to retirement, and are dealing with Jalen Hurts’ blood clot issue.
Could the Eagles then make DT Moro Oromo available via trade? And would the Vikings be interested in acquiring the 25-year-old lineman? SI’s Connor Orr believes he could be an intriguing addition.
“The Vikings have an excellent fleet of tackles who do exactly what the scheme asks of them, but Ojomo would add a pass-rushing flavor and diversify the array of pressure looks Flores’s defense throws,” Orr wrote last week. “It’s critical for the Vikings to add a showstopping piece as the offense continues to lag. Flores is the most studied coordinator in the league right now and without an evolution midseason, the Vikings could risk losing their biggest advantage. Ojomo is 16th in the NFL in pass-rush win rate among defensive tackles right now.”
Per PFF, Ojomo is tied for first among Eagles defenders with 18 pressures. Although he doesn’t have any sacks, he accumulated six last season while generating 54 pressures, the second-most on the team.

Ojomo would bring pass-rushing prowess to a defense known for exotic blitzes. He could help offer a change-up where he can cause havoc without always needing to design extra stunts to create those pressures.
Offense still feels like a more pressing need for this team, but there is something to be said for making the strength of the team even stronger. Perhaps Ojomo provides that option.
