Draymond Green was ejected from the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Phoenix Suns, and Kendrick Perkins has taken the opportunity to call him out.
The Golden State Warriors managed a narrow win against the Phoenix Suns on Monday, improving to a 5-3 record. This came despite Draymond Green getting ejected for picking up two technicals in the same passage of play.

Green made a questionable foul on big man Khaman Maluach, with Dillon Brooks showing up to have his teammate’s back. This escalated the situation, even as Draymond tried grabbing the Canadian star by the throat. His actions have led to significant criticism, and Kendrick Perkins has now weighed in as well.
Kendrick Perkins says Draymond Green has been ‘non-existent’ in basketball terms this season
Green has a history of getting involved with ‘extra-curricular’ skirmishes on the court, this isn’t exactly his first offence. Kendrick Perkins isn’t new to calling him out either, the two have a history of getting into very public beef with one another.
So when this incident occurred, it was always likely to lead to something. Perkins hasn’t missed his opportunity, calling Green out in some very harsh terms.
“Listen, when was the last time we discussed Draymond Green and brought him up for his basketball and not fighting?” Perkins asked on ESPN. “At some point, he has to deliver on the floor. When you look at the start of this season, Draymond Green has been non-existent.

“He has done absolutely nothing for the Golden State Warriors. To me, he has been a liability more than an asset. When you look at Steph’s face, yes he’s always going to protect Draymond Green because of their brotherhood… At some point, we have to stop giving Draymond a pass and say, ‘Hey man, when are you going to start producing on the floor?'”
Green’s impact has always shown up outside the box score more than anywhere else. The four-time NBA champion may be prone to the occasional outburst, but his importance to the team cannot be denied. Perkins criticising him in this manner could even cause Green to respond and rekindle the feud, too.
