Kristen Bell recently appeared on talk shows and podcasts, offering fans an unfiltered look at her family life. The actress shared insights into her 13-year marriage to Dax Shepard and the challenges of parenting. She also once shared that she wouldn’t bat an eye if he physically cheated on her, as she knew he would eventually return to her. However, she sometimes worries about his whereabouts and uses their kids to keep an eye on him while she’s away.
Kristen Stewart’s daughters spy on Dax Shepard, they once sent her a pic of him going ‘hogwild’
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard share a kind of relationship that many might find weird or unusual. From complimenting other women in front of his wife to flirt with her in a roundabout way to thinking one-night stands are okay, they have shared several debatable stories about their dynamics. In her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kristen said she uses her daughters, 13-year-old Lincoln and 11-year-old Delta, to spy on him when she isn’t around.
Kristen Bell said that the father-daughter trio often gets up to mischief when they are left alone. So she planted moles among them who report everything that happens in the house while she is away. In her words:
“Usually when I leave, they can be mischievous when they’re together, my husband and my kids.”
The Nobody Wants This star stays relieved when she has to leave for work as his daughters back home share every little update with her. Most of the time, Kristen says, she gets notifications about Dax ordering fast food for him and the kids. She jokingly said that her ‘mole,’ Lincoln, sends her ‘in-house paparazzi photos’ about what Dax is up to. Sharing her worries that the three of them keep having outside wherever she’s away, she mentioned:
“Whenever I leave town, I usually receive, almost immediately, notifications on my phone – ‘You’re McDonald’s has been delivered,’ ‘your Taco Bell has been delivered.’ They just eat fast food. But here’s what he didn’t consider – I have a mole on the ground, obviously.”
Dax Shepard’s wife mostly gets updates about ordinary father-daughter stuff, but one time she received a different photo from Lincoln. Their elder daughter’s update came during the girls’ bedtime, and it offered a glimpse of their father “in the cereal cupboard just going hogwild.” On hearing this fun instance, host Jimmy Fallon quipped, “She took sneaky photos.” Kristen Bell proudly asserted, “That’s my girl right there! I get all the details.”
Kristen Bell revealed Dax Shepard compliments other women to flirt with her
During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Kristen Bell revealed that her husband flirts with her by complimenting other people. As per Kristen, Dax Shepard would tell the waitress, “Wow, you have incredible eyelashes, gorgeous eyes. Great, great job.”
Later, in their conversation, Kristen also revealed that although Shepard compliments others, he never crosses the line or makes anyone feel uncomfortable. Bell also insisted that his ways often flatter her. Elaborating on the same, “That’s why it gives me butterflies because everyone saw it.”
Another example of the couple’s eccentricities includes Kristen’s admission in her 2019 conversation with Men’s Journal that she and Dax thought monogamy wasn’t for them, because such a relationship takes a lot of effort to maintain. However, later, Dax told Drew Barrymore on her talk show in 2024 that he and his better half ultimately made it work and were happy together.
