It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a …
An eyebrow-raising schlong-shaped flight path formed by a police helicopter in the UK was an “unfortunate” accident, officials said.
Gordon Bird, 53, discovered the phallic route after checking online tracking data for a helicopter flying in circles over his Hampshire home, which had woken up his 2-year-old daughter around 11 p.m. Monday.
The dad said he was “shocked” to spot the risqué shape in the police chopper’s flight path.
“I happened to have my computer on, I hadn’t gone to bed, so I just looked it up on the tracking,” Bird told the BBC.
It took “about half an hour” for the high-flying phallus to form, according to Bird.
Data reviewed by the outlet shows the helicopter made the obscene outline primarily above Blackbushe Airport, before circling over Ancells Farm in Fleet, then heading back to base.
“I’m not angry, I am upset at the waste of resources,” Bird said about the erectile directions.
The National Police Air Service emailed the dad to apologize for disrupting his daughter’s sleep, but claimed the familiar figure was unintentional.

The service said it was “unfortunate” that the flight path “resembles a particular shape,” the BBC reported.
The agency also told the outlet that the helicopter was conducting “a legitimate policing purpose” at the time, helping track down a vehicle that had blown past a police stop.
“[Flights] do not follow defined or predetermined flight plans as they, by their very nature, are dynamic and respond to ever changing, and unpredictable, circumstances on the ground.”
