Paris: An Airbus A320 plane flying from Dublin to Rome has been diverted to France’s Évreux-Fauville Air Base following a bomb alert, the office of French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on Thursday.
The situation was being monitored by the prime minister’s office, it added.
Flightradar24 showed the plane circling over Chartres Airport in north-central France before heading towards Évreux.
The incident comes just days after a string of bomb threats disrupted passenger flights across Europe, forcing diversions, emergency landings and security sweeps, although no devices were discovered.
