In the upcoming draft, the Vikings will be looking to continue building what is already an overachieving roster, but a lot could happen in the next 7 months. Before then, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup about the team, and who they may add through the draft in a class many are calling one of generational wealth.
One of the positions they need to make some glaring improvements in is at the quarterback position.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel shared over the weekend that a recent poll of NFL executives and scouts highlighted a new leader among them in who the top quarterback in the class is. With 17 first-place votes, Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker was considered the QB1 of the poll.
Other quarterbacks who received first-place votes were Miami (FL)’s Darian Mensah, Notre Dame’s CJ Carr, and Oregon’s Dante Moore.
It is interesting that no one has any sort of hype surrounding quarterback Trinidad Chambliss out of Ole Miss. The SEC passer could be a fit for Todd Monken and his offense, but that doesn’t mean someone like Mestemaker wouldn’t be a good addition either.
