In court documents obtained by ABC News, 27-year-old Jen filed for divorce in the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, Utah. Now, in a video, Zac shared his thoughts behind the divorce.
Zac Affleck shared his point of view regarding his divorce from Jen Affleck
Jen gained a lot of fame as a young Mormon mother, and she also became a part of MomTok, a famous Utah-based mom influencer group. Zac shared his thoughts on the divorce in a TikTok video. He revealed his wife’s decision regarding their divorce at a time when she was pregnant with their fourth child.
In a TikTok video, Zac said his wife decided to file for divorce and that he learned about it from a TMZ reporter. He added that it is something they have been talking about for a long time. He revealed that last year, Jen talked about separation and that she was not happy. He was quoted as saying:
“It is true that Jen filed for divorce yesterday, and it is true that I found out from a TMZ reporter about the filing. But regardless of that, this is something we’ve been talking about for a long time. Jen came to me about a year ago after Dancing with the Stars and told me she was unhappy and wanted a divorce.”
Zac added that he basically begged Jen to stay with him and that he would fix things and would become whoever she needed him to be. But in the end, they were not able to make it work. He added that he really loved Jen and still does. However, there have been plenty of mistakes he has been making in their marriage, and it was time for them to part ways. He said:
“And I basically begged her to stay, told her [I would] work on things, fix things, become whoever she needed me to be, and ultimately just we couldn’t make it work.”
Zac added that they got married at a young age, and it sucks as life happened and despite having four children they lost their spark. However, he continued that marriage is not easy, especially when it is in the public limelight. Zac stated that he will keep support his wife and be her biggest fan.
He added that their current priority is their kids and how they will handle parenting them. Zac added that he is worried about his children and it seemed to him like he failed them. He said:
“How we handle this with the kids and that’s really my [priority]. I feel like probably the thing that’s eating me alive the most is, I feel like I failed my kids, and I’m worried that I’m going to cause them damage. And I just hope that we can still give them a normal childhood. But as far as that goes, Jen and I are definitely on the same page of wanting to give them the best life we can, the best childhood we can, and be teammates and work together and do that.”
A while ago, Jen shared a video of Zac where he was seen making fun of her breast while he was behind the camrea. He stated that they are sagging and she should not post that on gram. She laughed and asked if she was embrassing herself and he told her that she should not post it. Sharing the video, Jen stated that he was never her biggest supporter.
