She admitted she had been hoping to return to the stage earlier so she could perform with band mates Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae and Lara Raj, but doctors warned her against doing so. Megan revealed medics had “strongly advised” her not to so she had the chance to fully recover.

She ended by telling her followers: “I love you all so much, I deeply appreciate your understanding and I am devastated to have to do this. I cannot wait to make it up to you eyekons, and give you the show you deserve.”

The announcement was firmed up on the band’s official Instagram page. Their statement read: “The label has made the decision to postpone our shows in Chicago and Minneapolis as Megan is recovering from a concussion.

“We are incredibly sorry to disappoint our fans. We know how much you’ve been looking forward to these shows, and that many of you have traveled long distances to be there. We don’t take that lightly and we’re truly sorry for the disappointment.”

The band concluded: “We’ll announce the rescheduled dates as soon as possible, so please hold on to your tickets. We can’t wait to see you in both cities again soon. Thank you for your continued love, support and understanding.”

Before the revelation of Megan’s condition, some fans had hit out at the last minute cancellation. One user commented on one of their posts: “Cancelling 30 minutes before start is ridiculous btw.”

Another added: “Wife and kids 1st concert. Drove all the way out to see y’all and cancelled last minute. Ridiculous.”

But others jumped to the band’s defence. One user said “Before they’re artists they’re human beings — everyone leave my girls alone Everyone’s always saying they need a break, but when they cancel a show due to illness suddenly they’re villains? what more do you people want from them truly.”
