The Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets are set to face off in a highly anticipated Week 9 showdown at Arrowhead Stadium this afternoon.
Ahead of the midseason AFC matchup, the Jets elected to elevate linebacker Troy Reeder and offensive lineman Brant Banks from their practice squad for extra depth on both sides of the ball.

Reeder started his career as a free agent after the 2019 NFL Draft and played in stints for the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions before joining the Jets earlier this year.
Banks first signed with the Green Bay Packers after the 2025 NFL Draft and signed a contract with the Tennessee Titans before finding his way to New York.
While Reeder and Banks aren’t expected to be key contributors for the Jets in Week 9, both veterans will be available to fill in if New York’s starters have to exit today’s game due to injury.
