BENGALURU: The bodies of two more victims in the Bengaluru serial murder case were recovered from a forest area near Chamundi Hill in Mysuru on Sunday, taking the number of bodies recovered so far to five. The two have been identified as the accused Indushekhar’s brother-in-law Shivakumar and Shivakumar’s wife Divya

The bodies, which had been stuffed into gunny bags and dumped in the forest, were recovered based on information provided by Indushekhar. The victims were found with their hands and legs tied.
Indushekhar is accused of killing seven members of his wife Sunitha’s family, including Sunitha, his mother-in-law Roopavathi, her brothers Shivakumar and Shankar, their wives Divya and Nalini, and seven-year-old Puneeth, son of Shankar.
The locations where the bodies have been dumped indicate that the accused allegedly transported them to different forest areas, far away from his house near Bashyam Circle in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru

The body of Puneeth was recovered near Nandi Hills, around 50 km north of Rajajinagar, on November 6. The bodies of Sunitha and Roopavathi were found in the Yercaud forest in Salem district of Tamil Nadu, around 200 km southeast of Bengaluru, on November 7. The two bodies recovered on Sunday were found near Chamundi Hill in Mysuru, about 150 km southwest of Rajajinagar

Police teams are continuing the search for the remaining two victims. They are said to have been dumped somewhere near Charmadi Ghat.
The pattern of disposal suggests that Indushekhar may have carefully planned the dumping of the bodies, choosing forest locations at considerable distances from the alleged crime scene to evade detection

The 45-year-old cab driver is accused of murdering seven members of his wife’s family over a period of 15 to 20 days at his house in Rajajinagar. The killings are suspected to have stemmed from domestic discord. Police are also investigating the alleged role of his minor daughter in the case.
