Months after Ola and James Jordan announced their separation, it has been claimed that the mum-of-one was shocked to be made aware of cheating allegations
Ola Jordan has said she is “devastated” following claims that her husband, James Jordan, cheated on her with a fellow dancer.
Former Strictly Come Dancing professionals Ola, 44, and James, 48, announced their separation after 22 years of marriage and 26 years together in August 2026. The former couple, who share six-year-old daughter Ella, confirmed they were taking time apart, with James moving out of the family home into a one-bedroom apartment.
On Saturday, a friend of Ola said that the Strictly star was “hit for six” after Russian dancer, Polina Mayer’s husband, Jamie Cutler, called her “out of the blue” last week to allege that James and Polina were sleeping together. When contacted by the Mirror, a spokesperson for James said: “I can confirm that James and Polina have grown closer in recent weeks since separating from their respective partners.”
According to Ola’s friend, the alleged call from Jamie left the dancer “stunned”. And now, the Strictly star has broken her silence. Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said: “As a woman you know these things in your gut but now my worst fears have been confirmed, I’m utterly devastated.”
She added: “I have no clue what the future holds and that’s a scary place, but I’m trying to navigate it one day at a time.”
Ola explained that James moved out in June, two months before they released their statement, saying: ‘It was traumatic. It felt as though he was giving up on us and that it was the beginning of the end. I have cried a lot of tears.
“I’m finding it very hard to move forward. I’m still very raw.”
The Sun reported that Ola confronted James over the allegations, telling him that “she wanted the truth” but he “played it down and tried to palm her off.” Ola’s friend said her “head is spinning and she’s completely devastated” after being made aware of the allegations.
James and Polina are currently performing together on The Legends Tour, featuring former Strictly professionals. A source said that the cheating allegations feel “very close to home because they all know each other, they have friends in common.”
The insider said that shortly after James and Polina started performing together, Ola felt that there had been a change in her husband. “He said he was struggling mentally and started to push her away,” the insider said, adding that while Ola was understanding, she “feels confused, hurt and betrayed” following her call with Jamie.
In August, Ola opened up about the heartbreak of her separation, writing on Instagram: “There have been moments this summer when my heart has felt heavier than I ever imagined it could. Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough.”
The dancer went on to explain how spending the school holidays with Ella had helped her through the upheaval. She continued: “But through all of the uncertainty, one thing has remained constant, my beautiful girl Ella.
“Spending these summer holidays with my baby girl, making memories, having cuddles, laughing until our tummies hurt and simply enjoying every precious moment together has been my greatest comfort.
“She may not realise it now, but she has been my little ray of sunshine through some of my darkest days. This summer hasn’t been the one I imagined, but I’m choosing to focus on what truly matters – her, our memories, and all the love between us.”
She added: “And to everyone who has sent me messages, checked in on me, shown me kindness or simply reminded me that I’m not alone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and support have meant more to me than you will ever know.”
Ola and James first began dating in 1999 before marrying four years later in 2003. The pair became familiar faces to millions during their years as professional dancers on Strictly.
Polina and James met through their dance careers and got engaged during a holiday in Santorini, Greece, in September 2021. They married in December 2023, but have now split up before reaching their third wedding anniversary.
