Ted Scott knows a thing or two about looping for the world’s best players. Scott was on the bag for both of Bubba Watson’s Masters victories, and he’s already won two more with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, whom Scott has teamed up with to win 19 times on Tour since they joined forces in the fall of 2021.
In January, we visited Scott in his native Louisiana to talk about his journey in life and caddying, but we also picked up some tips along the way — like his five secrets to win at Augusta. You can check them out below.

Ted Scott’s 5 tips to win at Augusta National
1 — “No three-putts.”
2 — “No double bogeys. Don’t play stupid where you can make a double. Obviously, you can, but in any major championship doubles are really hard to overcome.”
3 — “Keep it below the hole.”
4 — “Get the wind right on 12. That’s so freaking hard.”
5 — “It’s a marathon, not a sprint. It’s really hard to win golf tournaments. It’s even harder to win a major, and it’s probably even harder to come down the stretch at Augusta to win. You got to have serious toughness, so recognize that it’s a marathon and just hang in there.”
