Abbey Clancy has revealed a sexy performance she planned for husband Peter Crouch turned into the “worst surprise ever”. The model, 40, planned a saucy striptease for her man, but things quickly unravelled – and not in the way she wanted.
Abbey explained how she dressed in skimpy underwear and covered herself in a big mac coat as she waited to the former footballer. But the surprise had to wait as Peter, unbeknownst to his wife, had other plans.
Trying to treat her on the special occasion, Peter had sorted a professional chef to come to the house to cook them a romantic meal. But that left Abbey sitting in just a coat and the seductive underwear.

Explaining the awkward situation, she told The Sun: “That was the worst surprise ever because I got a gorgeous outfit from Agent Provocateur and just put it on with a coat on top.
“And Pete was like ‘Surprise! We’ve got a chef’ So I had to just wear my coat for the whole dinner — at home.”
She revealed how it left her sweating throughout the whole meal, saying she was worried her secret would embarrassingly slip. “He kept asking ‘Aren’t you hot in that coat?’” she added.
Eventually, Peter realised what was going on and why his wife was so desperate to wear her coat. However, he said there wasn’t the option to send the chef home as he didn’t want to seem rude.
But to make matters worse, Peter revealed the food expert was too engrossed in the night to leave them in peace. “You know when they come over and they want to explain the meal,” Peter said. “It’s like ‘p*** off mate, will you’.”
Former Liverpool star Peter previously revealed his savage nickname for his wife of 15 years. The sports pundit playfully revealed the two-word nickname he’s given his wife, with whom he shares two sons and two daughters.
Speaking to Chris Stark on Capital Radio in 2023, Peter told his wife of the secret nickname he calls his wife when with the presenter and co-star of That Peter Crouch podcast.
On the podcast I do with Chris, we have a nickname for you that I haven’t told you,” Peter disclosed. “And that nickname is San Marino. And the reason behind that is because San Marino is a footballing nation that hasn’t… that isn’t very good.”
Peter explained the pun to his confused-looking wife. “And they kick off every 10 minutes!,” he said while laughing. “That’s nice,” Abbey sarcastically responded.
The couple often share their intimate details on their podcast, The Therapy Crouch podcast. They are often seen on the production having a laugh together, even when teasing one another.
