Adam Peaty’s mum has issued a strongly-worded statement about family, as her son’s father-in-law Gordon Ramsay prepares to launch his Netflix show to the world

Adam Peaty’s mum has issued a scathing post about family, as Gordon Ramsay launches his Netflix show. Caroline Peaty has been at loggerheads with her son ever since his wife, Holly Ramsay’s, hen party.

Caroline, a working-class nursery manager, was not invited to the lavish celebrations at Soho Farmhouse, with sources claiming she didn’t fit the same image as those in attendance. Holly was joined by her mum, Tana, as well as the likes of Victoria Beckham.

But in the weeks leading up to Adam and Holly’s wedding, Caroline and the rest of the Peatys found themselves uninvited, with Adam’s only relative at the ceremony being his sister, Bethany. Today, as Gordon Ramsay’s new series on Netflix drops, Caroline has taken to social media to issue a rather blunt message.

Re-sharing a quote, Caroline’s story post read: “They learn unconditional acceptance separate from performance. Parents often focus on growth, correction, and outcomes. Grandparents focus on being. No grades, no pressure, no fixing. A study showed children with active grandparents show higher emotional security scores by age 10.

“When a child is loved without expectation, self-worth becomes internal, not negotiated.” Caroline’s upload came just hours after Gordon’s wife, Tana, revealed what was said during a conversation between the two mums.

Speaking to Grazia, Tana said: “I remember saying to Adam’s mum when I met her, ‘My God, you’ve got the most amazing son. I couldn’t think of anyone that is more perfect for Holly, who’s incredibly emotional, incredibly vulnerable in areas.'” Tana said she told Caroline that her Holly is “funny, brilliant and witty” but also “needs keeping in line” and that Adam managed to do all those things.

Tana said she told Caroline that Olympian Adam has ‘been through a lot’ but said her Holly had too. She then told the mum that that made the swimmer an ideal partner. Tana said she told Caroline, “In my mind he’s perfect for our daughter.”

Caroline is set to face fresh pain from her estranged son. Olympian Adam appears in Gordon’s new show and praises his new family. He said: “I knew I wanted to marry Hol, and I knew that because, without getting emotional, because I like to get emotional, Holly brings me a peace that I’ve never had in all aspects of my life.

“And I saw what she was like with George[his son from a previous relationship]. I’ve seen how her family works. And I think when you’re marrying someone, I believe you’re also marrying into the family. And for me, Gordon is very fair, very respectful, but also loves a good joke. We’re very similar.”

Meanwhile, Gordon said of Adam: “Adam is so grounded. He’s not walking around as an Olympic champion with his head up his ass. He’s my type of guy. He’s a gent, an absolute thoroughbred.” Sources had previously claimed that the Peaty family had branded Adam’s father-in-law, Gordon, a “big bully” who “pushed them too far.”

Gordon has since hit back, dismissing the claims, telling The Sun that the claims were “absolute nonsense”. Ramsay stated that he had even sent a personal driver to collect both Caroline and her husband Mark for Adam and Holly’s engagement party. Both he and his wife, Tana, were also guests at the event.

Gordon told the publication: “I’m certainly not a bully. I think when you send personal chauffeur cars up to Nottingham to invite this incredible family down to enjoy their party, by the way, Holly and Adam were hosting that party, Caroline and Mark, Tana, and I were guests – appalling to even suggest there was any bullying. That’s absolute nonsense.”

He went on to say he was “welcoming” to them. However, he admitted there was “a lot of friction” going on before anything happened publicly. He said it was sad to see what he described as “that barrage of negativity that was self-propelled by them”.
