With Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor under investigation after last week’s arrest, his family have been keeping a low profile as the Epstein scandal rages on
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been keeping a low profile in the days after he was arrested, with his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson also remaining out of the spotlight, as the fallout from the latest release of the Epstein files continues.
The former prince was last seen as he was smuggled out of Aylsham Police Station in Norfolk last Thursday, on the evening of his 66th birthday, after spending 11 hours in custody. Since his release, Thames Valley Police has announced the disgraced royal is under investigation, after he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
While the senior members of the Royal Family are carrying on with their duties in their standard ‘business as usual’ approach, the York family is in turmoil as they continue to avoid any unwanted attention. Here’s what we know about Andrew’s family’s whereabouts….

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is seemingly lying low at Sandringham, as he remains under investigation by the police. The former prince was driven back to his temporary home at Wood Farm on the Norfolk estate last Thursday, and hasn’t been seen since.
While the Yorks were a historically close-knit family, it is believed that the Epstein scandal has driven a wedge between Andrew and his daughters. Since the disgraced royal was arrested last week on his 66th birthday, it is believed that Beatrice and Eugenie have not seen their father.

Sarah Ferguson
Fergie has not been seen in public since September last year, when she was photographed leaving Royal Lodge in a car. It was just a few weeks later that Fergie was stripped of her Duchess of York title by King Charles over emails she had sent to Jeffrey Epstein.
While her current whereabouts have yet to be officially confirmed, reports claim that she spent January staying at the £13,000-a-day Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland.
Now, she is reportedly hiding out somewhere in the UK, “laying low with friends” and “in constant tears”, with a friend saying she has become “paranoid” that her location will be discovered.
Princess Eugenie
Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie was pictured today wandering the streets of London’s affluent Notting Hill alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank. The pair grabbed a coffee and seemed in good spirits, as Eugenie has not officially commented on her father’s scandal or arrest.
Before returning to the UK, Eugenie was claimed to have been seen enjoying a half-term trip in the Swiss resort of Gstaad with her husband and their two children and a group of friends. As well as enjoying time on the ski runs, the group stopped for a low-key lunch at Restaurant Waldmatte. A fellow diner at the restaurant told Hello! Magazine : “I was surprised to see her because I thought she would be keeping a low-profile in light of everything that has been going on.”
Earlier this month, the princess was also spotted at a high-end contemporary art fair in Doha, Qatar, presumably on a work trip as part of her role as director at London gallery Hauser and Wirth.
Princess Beatrice
Elswhere, Beatrice has not been seen since Andrew was arrested, but was last photographed appearing to support her father with a trip to the Royal Lodge before he was relocated to Sandringham.
Beatrice and her four-year-old daughter Sienna were spotted on the Windsor estate, joining Andrew for his weekly horse-riding lesson in late January.
King Charles and the Royal Family
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate have all undertaken official royal engagements since Andrew was arrested last week.
Charles stepped out to open London Fashion Week just hours after his brother’s arrest, with the Prince and Princess of Wales hitting the red carpet for the BAFTAs on Sunday. Queen Camilla was the first working royal to be seen after Andrew’s arrest, visiting the Sinfonia Smith Square concert hall in London just two hours after her brother-in-law was taken into custody.
All of the senior royals have each dodged questions from hecklers and reporters about Andrew’s arrest in several of their past appearances in recent days.
