Vijayawada:AP Chambers has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to intervene personally and ensure the release of around ₹5,000 crore in pending incentives for eligible micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and food processing industries in Andhra Pradesh by the first week of November.

In a representation submitted on Thursday, AP Chambers president Potluri Bhaskara Rao requested the government to clear all eligible pending claims through a single, consolidated exercise, providing relief to industries that have been waiting nearly two years for the promised incentives.

Although around ₹1,000 crore was released during the previous year, a substantial amount remains outstanding, putting considerable pressure on the working capital of enterprises. The delays have affected their ability to repay loans, meet operational expenses, sustain business activities and protect jobs, the Chamber said.

It stressed that the timely release of approved incentives was essential for MSMEs to maintain cash flow and continue operations. Clearing the arrears would inject much-needed liquidity into the industrial sector, help businesses meet financial commitments, encourage investment in food processing, strengthen farmer-market linkages and safeguard employment.

The Chamber also called for a transparent, time-bound mechanism to process future incentive claims, with clearly defined deadlines and regular monitoring to prevent the accumulation of arrears.

With the CII Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13, AP Chambers said clearing the pending dues would send a positive signal to investors and demonstrate the government’s commitment to implementing industrial policies, honouring eligible commitments and ensuring a predictable business environment.

While appreciating the government’s efforts to promote industrial development and attract investments, the Chamber urged the Chief Minister to accord the issue top priority. It expressed confidence that prompt action would restore industry confidence, provide relief to MSMEs and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s investment climate.
