The Beckham family’s long-running family tensions have dominated the headlines since the end of 2025. But Brooklyn Beckham’s public confession of the same and serious allegations against his parents, David and Victoria, left little hope for reconciliation. But after weeks of silence, the couple’s recent social media posts have sparked new speculation about whether they are trying to repair their strained relationship with their son, Brooklyn. The rumours began when David and Victoria wished their eldest son on his 27th birthday. 

Are David and Victoria Beckham trying to reconcile with Brooklyn? 

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham took to their Instagram handle a while ago and shared a special post for their eldest son, Brooklyn. The gesture is special since it comes after the latter confirmed that he did not intend to mend things with his parents. David shared a collection of photos from Brooklyn’s childhood and addressed him by his childhood nickname, ‘Bust’. In his words:

“27 today. Happy birthday, Bust. We love you.” 

The former football star also shared another throwback photo of their family swimming in a pool with Brooklyn as a child. The emotional tone of the posts quickly made headlines. Likewise, Victoria shared a birthday tribute for Brooklyn, featuring a childhood photo, and wrote, “Happy 27th birthday, Brooklyn. I love you so much,” along with several heart emojis. Although these were simple birthday wishes, the timing of the post sparked rumours that the couple was trying to extend an olive branch to their son after months of tension between them.

Despite the public birthday messages from David and Victoria Beckham, Brooklyn has not respondedto it. Until now, he has not publicly acknowledged their tributes, nor has he comment on whether the family’s relationship has improved following his lengthy public note in which he claimed to end ties with them. 

What has happened in the Beckham family in recent months? 

The Beckham family dispute reportedly became public in January 2026, when Brooklyn Beckham shared a lengthy note about his family on Instagram. He acknowledged the months-long speculations about his family conflict and accused his parents of interfering in his relationship with his wife, Nicola. Additionally, the 27-year-old claimed that she had been treated unfairly by members of her family. Moreover, he accused them of controlling the media and spreading fake narratives. Meanwhile, David and Victoria have not directly responded to those claims. 

What caused the Beckham family conflict? 

The Beckham family conflict dates back to 2022, when Brooklyn was planning his wedding to Nicola Peltz, which sparked tensions within the family. The couple allegedly had many conflicts with David and Victoria over the wedding planning process. One of the most popular issues was the wedding dress Victoria was supposed to make for Nicola, but last-minute changes caused misunderstandings. Similarly, when the couple was supposed to have their first dance, singer, Marc Anthony called Victoria to dance with Brooklyn, leaving the guests in an awkward situation. Subsequently, Brooklyn and Nicola missed some of their family milestones, but later claimed they were not welcomed properly.

Until now, it is unclear whether the birthday wishes are part of David and Victoria Beckham’s intention to reconcile with their son or a simple gesture with no additional meaning.
