Aryan Khan Says He Loves Awards Just Like Shah Rukh Khan Fans Draw Parallels Between Son and Father

Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan received his first award for his debut directorial series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. While giving his acceptance speech, Aryan displayed his witty side and said he loves awards just like his superstar dad, SRK. However, he dedicated the trophy to his mother, Gauri Khan.

“Good evening, everyone. First of all, I would like to thank my cast, crew and Netflix for placing so much faith in a first-time director and for working with me with such love, hard work and enthusiasm. Congratulations to all the winners tonight. This is my first award, and I hope I receive more of them because, just like my dad, I also like awards. But this award is not for him. This award is for my mom, because she always tells me to sleep early, not make fun of people, and never use abusive language. And today, it’s for these very things that I’ve received this award. Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world, and I know that when I go home today, I’ll get scolded a little less.”

His grandmother, Savita Chhibber, was also present with him, and she got visibly emotional seeing her grandson receive his first award.

Aryan’s mother Gauri Khan shared a video of him accepting the award and joked that she has to now design a new cabinet to hold all of Aryan’s awards. Gauri wrote, “Thank you for making me the happiest and proudest @_aryan_ …  now off to design a new cabinet to hold all your awards!!”

However, Aryan’s witty speech and his mannerisms reminded fans of his father, SRK.  

“Srk ka variant hai yeh ek dum. The way he speaks the pitch of the voice and even the way he holds the award body language its too much srk. Its like he has unknowingly caught every nuance of srk’s being,” said one netizen.
