‘Aspirants’ Season 3 OTT Release, What To Expect In The Drama Series Starring Naveen Kasturia?

Aspirants, the TVF hit series has returned with a bang. Season 3 of the popular series is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Aspirants Season 3, starring Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and Sunny Hinduja, was released on March 13, 2026. The series has already created a buzz on social media. The show is all about the UPSC aspirants and their struggles. After two successful seasons, the makers have brought Season 3. It is worth mentioning that the series is widely praised for its realistic portrayal of UPSC preparation struggles.

What to expect in the series, Aspirants Season 3?

The OG tripod chemistry, involving ‘Abhilash Sharma’ (played by Naveen Kasturia), ‘Guri’ (played by Shivankit Singh Parihar) and ‘SK’ (played by Abhilash Thapliyal) evolves every season, and Season 3 is also no exception. In Aspirants Season 3, the conflict between ‘Abhilash Sharma’ and ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ (Sunny Hinduja) takes centre stage. For the unversed, in Season 1, the audience saw ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ as the guiding light to everybody, including ‘Abhilash’, and in Season 2, the audience got to see the ego tussle between ‘Sandeep’ and ‘Abhilash’ after the former becomes an Assistant Labour Commissioner and the latter ascends to the rank of  District Magistrate (DM).

However, in Aspirants Season 3, tension between ‘Abhilash Sharma’ and ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ escalates when the latter blames the former for favouring his old friend, ‘Guri’, while passing a tender. To save his job and image, ‘Abhilash Sharma’ firmly refutes ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’s’ claim and calls his accusations baseless. Season 3 unfolds two different timelines, revisiting ‘Abhilash’s’ final IAS attempt while a present-day inquiry has put his job at risk. The audience will get to see a new rival of ‘Abhilash’ in the new season. The role of the rival will be played by actor, Jatin Goswami. According to the narrative, this new rival will make ‘Abhilash’s’ professional life chaotic.

Meet the cast of Aspirants Season 3

While Naveen Kasturia returns as ‘Abhilash Sharma’, Shivankit Singh Parihar returns as ‘Guri’, Namita Dubey returns as ‘Dhairya’, Abhilash Thapliyal returns as ‘Shwetketu Jha’, a.k.a ‘SK Sir’, and Sunny Hinduja returns as ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’, Aspirants Season 3 will also feature Jatin Goswami as a District Magistrate from another district. His entry will bring back the past rivalry between Jatin’s character and ‘Abhilash’, adding a fresh layer to the story. Tengam Celine also returns as ‘Deepa’, a close friend of ‘Abhilash’. In Aspirants Season 2, ‘Deepa’ was introduced. However, in Aspirants Season 3, the audience will experience a new kind of chemistry between ‘Deepa’ and ‘Abhilash’ as love creeps in.

Naveen Kasturia opens up about his character arc in Aspirants Season 3

Speaking to the media, Naveen got candid about his character arc in Aspirants Season 3. He mentioned that although ‘Abhilash’ achieved his dreams, the ground reality strikes him hard. He was quoted as saying:

“In season 3, we meet him at a point where the dream has come true on paper, but the ground reality is far more complicated. He is juggling public expectations, personal guilt, and the fear of letting down the people who believed in him most.”

What happens at the end of Aspirants Season 2?

At the end of Season 2, ‘Abhilash’ receives a note from an anonymous person that exposes corruption within the system involving the Fire Department and also questions the tender allocation process. Soon, this issue, ‘Abhilash’s’ friend, ‘Guri’ and his wife, ‘Dhairya’, and people begin to suspect that the duo might be a product of nepotism and there has been involvement of unfair practises within the system. Things take a dramatic turn when ‘Sandeep Bhaiya’ claims that the anonymous person is none other than ‘Dhairya’. Because of these allegations, ‘Abhilash’, who landed his dream job of becoming a DM, soon comes under pressure. Aspirants Season 2 ended with many unanswered questions, which will unfold in the new season.
