Super Bowl 60 kept people on their toes, which was won by the Seattle Seahawks. Apart from the game, it was the traditional halftime performance that also grabbed the attention. It was in October 2025, when it was announced by the NFL that Bad Bunny would take the centre stage of the Super Bowl 60’s halftime show. The performance came with a whole lot of Easter Eggs, including a real wedding.

Bad Bunny’s performance led his Spotify stream soaring to more than 400 per cent

Amid this, The Real Housewives of New York City star, Jill Zarin, and Fox News host, Megyn Kelly’s comments about the same performance ended up being a controversy. So much so, Jill faced backlash that she had to delete her comment about Bad Bunny’s performance. So, let’s have a look at what she and Megyn Kelly said about Bad Bunny.

The singer made history by being the first ever artist to perform in Spanish, but he revealed in an earlier interview that he doesn’t want anyone to learn the language for his performance, but he wanted everyone to dance their hearts out. Now, if the reports are to be believed, Bad Bunny’s Spotify stream increased by more than 400 per cent. For the unversed, Bad Bunny was not paid by the NFL, and not only he, but also the other halftime performers don’t get paid, since the show itself is a huge marketing spectacle.

Jill Zarin sparks controversy with her questionable comment on Bad Bunny’s halftime performance

However, Bad Bunny’s performance also brought controversy. Initially, his performance was announced, and the MAGA group came out in backlash against the decision, citing the singer’s political views, broader cultural symbolism, and Spanish lyrics. Well, while performing, Bad Bunny said that there’s something greater than hate, and that’s love. The performance was mostly in Spanish. Talking about the same, The Real Housewives of New York City star, Jill Zarin, dropped a video, wherein she criticised the halftime performance, stating that it was the ‘worst halftime show ever’.

Jill further added that there were ‘literally no white people in the entire thing,’ while tagging it as a ‘political statement’. Soon after her clip went viral, Jill Zarin was slammed for her comments, which led her to delete the video. She was tagged as ‘Racist’, and the entire Bravo universe slammed Jill for her comments on Bad Bunny’s performance. Andy Cohen also made a comment about Jill’s statement on Bad Bunny’s performance. Andy’s comment was related to the next show, wherein Jill might appear. He said:

“And in terms of Jill, just… I don’t know. You know, call E!. Two people who are not employed by Bravo anymore, so just…Call E!”

Megyn Kelly’s rant on Bad Bunny’s performance sparks controversy

On the other hand, Megan Kelly also grabbed the attention with her comments on Bad Bunny’s performance. She questioned the need for the performance to be in Spanish. As per her, there are 40 million Spanish speakers in the US, while 310 million people don’t even know Spanish, and thus, the performance was not apt. Her comments sparked a whole lot of controversy. She could be quoted as saying:

“To get up there and perform the whole show in Spanish is a middle finger to the rest of America. Who gives a d-n that we have 40 million Spanish speakers in the United States? We have 310 million who don’t speak a lick of Spanish! This is supposed to be a unifying event for the country not for the Latinos, not for one small group, but for the country. We don’t need a black national anthem, we don’t need a Spanish-speaking, non-English performing performer, and we don’t need an ICE or America hater featured as our primetime entertainment. Football, that kind of football, is ours! They call it American football. And the halftime show and everything around it has to stay quintessentially American.”
