The actress, who played Stephanie Holden, was arrested alongside 20 others after allegedly trespassing on Ridglan Farms, a facility that breeds dogs for scientific research.
Baywatch actress Alexandra Paul has been arrested. The star, who played Stephanie Holden in the beach drama, was allegedly involved in attempting to free several beagle dogs from an animal breeding facility in Wisconsin that conducts scientific research.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said that Paul, 62, who was famous thanks to the global TV hit throughout the Nineties, had been arrested alongside 20 others after allegedly trespassing on Ridglan Farms, which says it works to “raise high quality and healthy animals for scientific and medical discovery”.
Deputies allege that 50-60 protesters entered the breeding facility at 8.30am on Sunday and removed multiple dogs. Members of the Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs said 31 dogs were taken, eight of which were intercepted by police. Paul is reported to have been among the group.
She was charged with misdemeanour trespassing and released for a later court appearance, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office said today. They explained that the beagles were taken back, saying: “All of the animals that were taken have been recovered and none of the animals have been injured.”
Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said: “The Dane County Sheriff’s Office understands how deeply people feel for the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and we respect their right to express that passion through peaceful protests.

“The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to maintaining public safety, promoting peaceful dialogue, and ensuring that all parties can exercise their rights within the bounds of the law.” Ridglan Farms has previously denied allegations of animal abuse and said it operates within state and federal regulations.
Former Baywatch actress Paul was reportedly charged with misdemeanour theft for allegedly taking chickens from a truck in 2021 but was later found not guilty.
Her first steps into animal activism began at 14, when she became a vegetarian. At 26, she stopped wearing any clothing made from animal skins, and at 47 she became a vegan. Not wearing any make-up that had been tested on animals was a non-negotiable part of her acting contracts.
