As the princesses continue to be dragged into their parents’ scandals, reports have claimed that Beatrice and Eugenie are compartmentalising their relationships with disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have decided to stay loyal to their parents and support them from behind closed doors, while distancing themselves in public, it is claimed. A source has said that the princesses, who continue to be dragged into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson’s scandals, are trying their best to compartmentalise their relationships with their parents as the Epstein scandal rages on.

Both Andrew and Fergie have been caught up in the Epstein scandal, as newly released files show further emails and images of the former Duke and Duchess of York conversing with the convicted sex offender. Andrew and Sarah have denied any wrongdoing.

With Beatrice and Eugenie caught in the crossfire of the scandal and struggling to navigate their relationships with their parents, a source told the Daily Mail that the sisters are remaining “loyal to their parents in private while separating themselves in public”.

The insider told the publication: “The Yorks are just about holding it together as a family, but this has put new strains on their relationships.” They added: “The last I heard, the daughters were still supporting both parents behind the scenes.”

The source added that Beatrice and Eugenie have been placed in a bind as they love their parents, but are also concerned about ‘contaminating’ their own public images and careers. The insider said: “Eugenie, for example, is co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, a charity that campaigns to end modern slavery, which includes sex trafficking. How can she do that without saying anything about Epstein?”

Both Andrew and Fergie have been implicated in the Epstein files, with reports claiming that Beatrice and Eugenie are ‘mortified’ by their mother’s emails that were revealed last week, alongside 3 million documents relating to the convicted sex offender.

Sources close to the two princesses say they have been left ‘aghast’ by the emails as well as the photos that show their father crouching over a mystery woman on the floor.

They told the Daily Mail : “They are aghast at what they have read. They are mortified by the emails their mother has sent to Epstein. It is so embarrassing for them.

“We don’t believe the girls [Beatrice and Eugenie] were told much about what has just emerged [in the latest Epstein files release], and they will simply be aghast at just how close their parents were to this appalling man.”

Last year, several charities severed ties with Fergie after it emerged she apologised to the sex offender in April 2011 after publicly disowning him in the media, referring to him as a “steadfast and supreme friend”.

The princesses are also said to be “appalled” and “embarrassed” by photographs that appear to show their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, crouching over an unidentified woman lying on the floor. Andrew has always denied the allegations against him.
