It’s easy to handwave the Cincinnati Bengals as a team that doesn’t need any offensive help in the upcoming NFL draft.
But that’s not exactly the case. And how the Bengals continue to navigate the pre-draft process confirms it.

Take, for instance, the Bengals doing due diligence on Indiana running back Kaelon Black, setting up a 30 visit with him, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2.
Likely a heavy-hitting finisher at the pro level, Black ran for 1,040 yards and 10 scores last year and averaged 5.2 yards per carry on his career.
Even if the Bengals don’t use a draft pick on running back, the need is there at some point. Chase Brown is the featured back, but Samaje Perine, Tahj Brooks and a host of others aren’t guaranteed to have roster spots in 2026.
It’s a similar vibe at wideout, another place the Bengals very quietly need help because the third wideout spot underwhelmed so badly last year. Both it and running back are sleeper spots the Bengals could use a draft pick on soon.
