A glamorous influencer, aged 27, has died in a shock to fans, after falling ill just days after getting plastic surgery. Bianca Dias, who has two daughters, is thought to have died of a pulmonary embolism.
According to her family, Bianca fell ill suddenly as she was recovering from her surgery. She was taken from her family’s Guaruja beach house to hospital after suffering from shortness of breath and her death came only 18 days after she went under the knife.
The exact procedure Bianca had has not been revealed by officials. But fans of the influencer had been speculated, largely focussing on liposuction and abdominoplasty, which are higher risk than some other cosmetic procedures.
Pulmonary embolisms are a risk associated with major cosmetic surgeries, especially if more than one is performed at the same time. The risk is highest in the first 48 hours following the procedure but remains a concern for up to 20 days later.
Before her death, the influencer had nearly 60,000 followers and was a well-known name in her home city of Maua, where her funeral will be held. Her Instagram bio read: “Living at my own pace, without rushing, and with purpose.”
