The cat’s out of the bag.
After dropping a trio of singles ahead of the release of her ninth studio album “Returning To Myself” and nabbing a musical guest spot on an upcoming episode of “Saturday Night Live,” Brandi Carlile has finally announced her 2026 ‘Human Tour’ with special guest The Head and The Heart.
Early in the run, the powerful singer-songwriter is slated to make her lone New York stop on the North American leg of the outing when she headlines Madison Square Garden on Friday, Feb. 13.
“This is the biggest tour we have ever done,” the 11-time Grammy winner shared via Instagram. “I have never been more ready to meet this moment…let’s make an arena feel like a living room.”
Interestingly enough, given that the 44-year-old Washington native called the tour “the biggest we have ever done,” there are currently only ten arena shows booked at North American venues from mid-February through early March at the time of publication.
In response to this discrepancy, Variety noted “that may seem like a limited number of U..S. cities, but Carlile has hinted that she expects to be touring throughout the year, so it would not be surprising to see the singer later adding spring or summer dates in what currently appears to be a seven-month gap before the tour is scheduled to pick up in Europe.”
Before the trek officially kicks off, Carlile is officially scheduled to perform two “non-tour” New York shows in the state. First is her Nov. 1 “SNL” appearance alongside host Miles Teller. Then, a little over a month later, she’ll lend her talents to Port Chester’s ’11th Annual John Henry’s Friends’ concert at the Capitol Theatre on Friday, Dec. 12. Steve Earle, Margaret Glaspy, Larry Campbell, and Teresa Campbell round out the lineup.
Fans Bramily members can purchase tickets for all upcoming North American Brandi Carlile shows (excluding her “SNL” spot of course) on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the ‘Human Tour’ is Friday, Oct. 31.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

’11th Annual John Henry’s Friends’ concert
Country rocker/folk-singer/bluesman Steve Earle is hosting his ’11th annual John Henry’s Friends Benefit concert’ on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
Music Row reports “the evening will feature performances by Earle, Brandi Carlile, Margaret Glaspy, Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams in a classic guitar-pull format.”
Earle’s son John Henry was diagnosed with autism at 19 months old, and for 11 years now, the gifted musician has pulled in some of the biggest, rootsiest names in music to raise money for The Keswell School for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The organization provides educational, therapeutic and support services for kids with ASD and their families.

Brandi Carlile new music
Ahead of the Oct. 24 release of “Returning To Myself,” Carlile has dropped a trio of singles.
Up first is the stripped-down title track, which also gets things underway on the ten-song album. As Carlile promised, this is exactly the kind of music that can make an arena feel like a living room. Sincere, aching, powerful. Expect to hear a pin drop when she warbles this one live. It’s a stunner.
Next is “A War With Time,” which makes grander use of her backing band. Drums, guitar and backing vocals from Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) allow her to paint on a more expansive canvas creating a rich tapestry of sound under the heartbreaking refrain “I want you to go/don’t even ask me/just go.”
Finally, “Church and State” finds Carlile heading in a completely different direction and jamming out. A funky bass line, arena rock urgency and Brandi’s classic, unbridled yelp all make for an instant classic. This one will likely pack a wallop IRL. We can’t wait to sing along.

You can find the three lead “Returning To Myself” singles here.
Also, make sure to check out Carlile’s spine-tingling “Who Believes In Angels” collab with Elton John from this past April. For our money, the oft-epic and sometimes intimate record is worth a spin or three.
The Head and the Heart
Jonathan Russell’s indie folk group are headliners in their own right.
This past year, the sweetly vulnerable ensemble toured all over North America bringing their hits like the deceptively lo-fi “Rivers and Roads,” winsome winner “Lost in My Mind” and bluesy ballad “Honeybee” to amphitheaters, music halls and festivals from May through October.
If you’d like to dig into their vast discography, you can find The Head and The Heart’s music here.
They also have a pair of shows with the Seattle Symphony lined up in February 2026 as well. Click here to grab tickets.
