EXCLUSIVE: Britain’s Got Talent judge KSI was left “completely overwhelmed” when the Original Sax Guy, who inspired his first viral videos, walked onto the stage during auditions

Britain’s Got Talent is hit by an emotional “blast from the past” after a mystery audition left KSI beaming like a “kid at Christmas.”

The YouTube star, 32, was left “completely overwhelmed” when the legendary Original Sax Guy, the man who inspired KSI’s first-ever viral hits, walked onto the stage.

The rapper turned -judge was seen leaping from his seat in “pure joy,” even wrapping his legs around the contestant, as the older judges sat by, looking utterly “baffled” by the internet star.

Speaking exclusively about the moment he saw his hero, KSI said: “There was a guy who came on who is the original saxophone guy. I recreated his videos. He is the king!

“And that’s why I was so gassed to see him. That’s why I was so excited. I couldn’t believe it. I was so overwhelmed. I was like, ‘oh my God, it’s him’.”

The star, who built an empire of 24 million subscribers starting with his “Epic Sax Man” parodies in 2011, admitted the nostalgia hit him hard.

“Everyone could feel my energy and that was a great moment,” he beamed. “And stuff like that will go viral because it’s that nostalgia feel with my audience and they will post that everywhere. Social media will run riot with that!”

While the younger crowd in the audience were losing their minds, head judge Simon Cowell, and Amanda and Alesha were reportedly left scratching their heads.

KSI admitted there were plenty of “lost in translation” moments on the panel, saying: “There’s quite a bit of that!

“But again, I feel like all audiences would enjoy that because if you’re an older audience and you don’t understand something, you’re gonna want to learn, right?

“And if you’re a young audience, you’re gonna be like, ‘he did the thing. I get that!’ So it just again reiterates that BGT is a family show. And that whether you’re young or old, it’s great for everyone. I think it’s just perfect.”

The biggest shock of the night came when KSI upped the stakes for the live semi-finals.

To ensure his idol got a “Yes,” the star vowed to bring back the infamous gold full-body morphsuit that made him a household name over a decade ago.

Producers are said to be “scrambling” to prepare for the potential chaotic performance, which would see the multi-millionaire YouTuber returning to his “messy” roots on live TV.

One onlooker said: “It was pure magic. KSI wasn’t a judge in that moment, he was just a superfan. If he actually gets back in that gold suit, it’ll be the most-watched moment in the show’s history.”

“This act is a massive piece of the puzzle when it comes to KSI’s career. It’s the ultimate reunion that his OG fans will be absolutely buzzing to tune in for.

“It is beyond nostalgic, it’s like seeing KSI’s two worlds colliding head-on. You’ve got the raw energy from when he was first starting out in his bedroom, crashing right into his life now as one of the most famous people on the planet.

“It’s a ‘pinch-me’ moment that proves he hasn’t forgotten where he came from.”
