Brooklyn Beckham posted a romantic Valentine’s Day tribute to wife Nicola Peltz on Instagram, but the sweet gesture was met with criticism from fans who branded it ‘weird’ and questioned their privacy claims

Brooklyn Beckham’s heartfelt Valentine’s Day tribute to wife Nicola attracted criticism moments after appearing on Instagram.

Despite Brooklyn posting on February 15, a day following Valentine’s Day (February 14), the message brimmed with romantic sentiment. In the monochrome photograph the 26 year old media personality uploaded to his Instagram feed, a topless Brooklyn kissed Nicola, 31, who wore an off-the-shoulder white crop top and sunglasses.

“Happy Valentine’s Day baby x I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to call you my valentines every year x I love you more than you know and I will forever protect and love you x,” Brooklyn wrote beneath the image. This followed Gordon Ramsay advising him to “remember where he came from” during his family dispute with parents Victoria and David Beckham, whom he’s described as “controlling.”

What should have been a tender acknowledgement of Nicola rapidly became a lightning rod for backlash, with one user remarking, “Am I the only one who thinks this is weird? ? ?” Another wrote, “Didn’t you guys want privacy?” whilst a third questioned, “Is this the privacy what you wanted ?”, reports the Mirror US.

A fourth person observed, “Ughmmmmmmm is the privacy in the room with us.” Meanwhile, somebody else asked, “I thought he wanted privacy? ? ?”

Nicola likewise expressed adoration for her husband since 2022, Brooklyn, on Instagram, sharing her own dedication to him on social media. She penned, “Love you more every day! ! I’m so lucky I get to call you my forever Valentine. You’re the most beautiful human and I love doing life with you.”

Alongside a snap of him and Brooklyn, he also took to his Instagram Stories to showcase their romantic festivities as they savoured two bottles of wine before tucking into dinner.

Over the Valentine’s Day weekend when Nicola and Brooklyn were marking the occasion together, it was reported that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay had unfollowed Brooklyn on Instagram as of Saturday (February 14). This occurred following some stern words from the renowned chef and close friend of Brooklyn’s parents.

“He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do. But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop,” Gordon forecasted.

He went on, “I’ve seen first-hand just how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible. They’ve both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they’ve got Brooklyn out of the s- -t.”
