About Arirang
BTS’ fifth album Arirang will be released on March 20, following which the band will embark on a world tour.
The word Arirang created a lot of intrigue among netizens. Hardcore K-drama fans might be familiar with this as Arirang is a Korean folk song, estimated to be 600 years old. It was included twice on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. In 2015, the South Korean Cultural Heritage Administration added Arirang to its list of intangible cultural assets.
BTS sang this in 2016 during one of their performances.
Meanwhile, their world tour is set to kick off in April 2026 in Goyang, South Korea, followed by performances in Tokyo, Las Vegas, London, and several Southeast Asian cities like Bangkok and Singapore. This marks the group’s first full-scale global tour since all seven members completed their mandatory military service.
