Canadian trans mass shooter Jesse Van Rootselaar is seen wearing makeup in a selfie he shared in a transgender online forum — in which he excitedly touted it was his “first time” getting dolled up.

“First time trying makeup! (Pre-HRT),” he wrote in an archived subreddit from June 2023, viewed by The Post, referring to hormone replacement therapy, a common treatment for people undergoing a sex change.

The Reddit account was first reported as belonging to Van Rootselaar by the Telegraph.

Trans Canadian gunman Van Rootselaar posted a picture to social media website Reddit showing himself wearing makeup for the first time.

The mirror selfie shows him wearing dark-colored nail polish, red lipstick and foundation — with his long, tousled hair covering most of his eyes.

“Literally never done it before!” he wrote in a comment beneath the thread. One other user commented, “cool beans.”

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald said at a press conference Wednesday that Van Rootselaar was “born a biological male … who approximately six years ago began to transition as female, and identified as female.”

Authorities said he was born male but started transitioning to female about six years ago.

Van Rootselaar, 18, murdered his mother, Jennifer Strang, and his 11-year-old stepbrother at their home on Tuesday afternoon before making his way to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School where he gunned down a female teacher and five students between the ages of 12-13, most of them in the library.

Cops said he took his own life at the scene.

Tumbler Ridge is a remote rural community in British Columbia of about 2,600 people, located around 400 miles north of Vancouver.

Authorities said he was a former student at the school but dropped out four years ago. As for whether there was any connection between his trans identity and the shooting, McDonald said it’s “too early to say.”
