Canadian actress Carrie Anne Fleming has died aged 51 after a battle with breast cancer. The actress, who is known for her roles in iZombie and Supernatural, died last month in Sidney, British Columbia.

Carrie’s Supernatural co-star Jim Beaver, 75, confirmed the news and reported that she had breast cancer complications to Variety. Many fans have rushed to send their condolences online. One fan wrote on X: “Carrie Anne Fleming gone at 51 is heavy. iZombie and Supernatural—she was part of shows that mattered. RIP to a real one. She had talent and those characters stuck with people. That’s the impact she leaves”.

Another fan wrote: “I’ll always remember Carrie Anne Fleming as the titular Jenifer in that episode of Masters of Horror. Sad to hear of her passing. 2026 has been awful for sad goodbyes”. A third added: “Way too young to pass on, and my heart goes out to her family.”

Carrie was born in Digby, Nova Scotia, before she attended Mount Douglas Senior Secondary in Victoria, B.C. Her acting career began when she took on a role on Viper and then scored a part in the film Happy Gilmore, starring Adam Sandler.

She was then cast in Masters of Horror in 2005, where she played a disfigured woman with cannibalistic tendencies. She went on to appear in many horror productions, including The Tooth Fairy and Bloodsuckers.

She became known for her role as Karen Singer on Supernatural, who was the wife of the main character Bobby Singer. Most recently, she has starred in five seasons of iZombie as Candy Baker. The actress is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose.
