Claudia Winkleman’s outfits on the hugely popular Celebrity Traitors have been a hit with viewers, but it seems that there’s one downside to working in the Highlands

Claudia Winkleman’s co-worker has spilled the beans about a moment on The Celebrity Traitors when “it really turned”. Known for its eerie setting and psychological twists, it’s intriguing to see that Claudia’s attire on the massively popular BBC game show has also won over viewers.

Indeed, host Claudia “repeatedly steals the show”, showcasing a wardrobe that reflects the “moody Scottish landscape” (the show is filmed at Ardross Castle), according to one publication, but it seems that it’s all down to the work of one particular person.

Claudia’s stylist for twenty years, Sinead McKeefry, who also collaborates with her on another flagship BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing, says they share “very similar aesthetics”, and Claudia is “very collaborative.”

However, despite everything appearing flawless when the show graces our televisions, there’s one drawback to working in the Highlands: the notoriously unpredictable Scottish weather.

Speaking about the difficulties caused by the weather when the show was filmed in May, with several of Claudia’s carefully planned outfits hanging in the balance at the time due to delayed deliveries, Sinead told Hello!: “It really turned. And trying to get things to that castle is not easy. I spend a lot of time on the phone to DHL. Amazon’s party section has also got us out of a hole.”

Discussing Claudia’s fashion selections further, the Independent characterised her appearance as “aspirational, knit-heavy, tartan-splashed and punk-infused”, highlighting her fingerless gloves and “monochrome separates”.

Meanwhile, Closer had previously revealed that Claudia’s ensembles proved so popular throughout earlier series that they sparked increased demand for tartan skirts, fingerless gloves and fair-isle jumpers.

However, Claudia isn’t the only famous face collaborating with Central Saint Martins graduate Sinead, as her celebrity clientele also includes Billie Piper and Fearne Cotton.

“It’s been a long old relationship”, Sinead revealed to Country and Town House. “It was Fearne actually who introduced me to Claudia around 18 years ago. We just clicked instantly.

“Claudia has a really good sense of style and a natural interest in fashion. She’s forever sending me things on Instagram.”

In separate news, Claudia recently confessed to a habit that earned her a ticking off from her programme producer. Chatting to MailOnline, she admitted being “desperate” to assist contestants and attempted to cheat the competition.

She explained: “Sometimes I try and drop big clues, but my producer tells me off.” Claudia subsequently reflected on the distinctions she’d observed with the celebrity version.

Claudia continued: “I think it was scarier, because all I wanted to do was chat to them and make them like me. But of course, I have to be extremely unlikable. It was tricky.”

She went on to note that she’s “such a fan” of them all, revealing that the entire team were “in awe” and that it’s difficult for her not to get too excited around the stars.

You can catch Celebrity Traitors on BBC One and iPlayer on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm.
