Hollywood actress Cynthia Erivo turned mediator outside of a West End theatre after as she tried to calm down an angry member of the public

Cynthia Erivo swapped jobs from actress to mediator following an incident at the stage door for her latest performance. The actress, 39, was greeted by fans outside London’s West End theatre, where she is performing in Kip Williams’ Dracula.

And she tried to calm down a situation after a member of the crowd waiting outside complained of being “attacked” nearby. The person was clearly agitated with the apparent event and vented to the actress, who was trying to diffuse the situation.

In a clip caught on TikTok, Cynthia is heard continuing to apologise about what had happened. As the angry person, who seems to say he had been in a separate crowd, claims he was pushed away, the actress remains softly spoken.

After explaining everyone around her had been “wonderful,” Cynthia told the alleged victim: “I can see that you’ve been hurt. And I don’t like that for you.”

The person continues to argue, saying they weren’t hurt, but insisting instead he was “attacked”. Cynthia again reiterated her apology before another take saw the person become more irate.

Still trying to reason with them, Cynthia is forced to raise her voice, while remaining calm. Speaking from behind a barrier, the Wicked star said: “Well if you listen. I need you to take a breath.” The man continued to tell his side when Cynthia added again: “Baby, I need you to take a breath.”

The confrontation went on as the surrounding crowd seemed stunned into silence. The man appears to move towards Cynthia as a security guard ushers her to step back.

But she continues in her attempt to get through to him and calm the situation. As she asks him what his name is, he sternly asks why as she reveals who she is. The discontent member of the public fumes back that he knows her and tells her it’s nothing to do with her as she apologises again.
