The 2025 Pride of Britain Awards is almost underway, with some of the biggest stars in the country uniting to celebrate the nation’s unsung heroes.

Hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards celebrate the nation’s unsung heroes, young and old. Winners include fundraisers, campaigners, children who have overcome incredible odds and heroes who have risked their lives to save others.

Star guests for the 2025 Awards will be revealed as we count down to the big night, which will also feature the biggest red carpet live stream in the awards’ history, with social sensations Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson, GK Barry and Mark and Roxanne Hoyle – better known as Ladbaby – all roving the carpet.

Margot Robbie’s message to cancer survivor

Young Georgie Hyslop, a cancer survivor who shares Barbie’s motto of ‘You can be anything!’, raised more than £55,000 for others.

“I’ve heard all about the fundraising you’ve been doing, everything you’ve been through, it has been hugely inspiring for me,” Barbie icon Margot Robbie told her.

The Hollywood star met cancer survivor Georgie, who has raised more than £55,000 for others, to tell her she has been crowned the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, with P&O Cruises.

Overjoyed at meeting her idol, Georgie said: “I can’t even imagine that that’s happened to me.”

Who are the winners?

Nominated by the public, the recipients are ordinary people of all ages and backgrounds whose actions are deemed extraordinary and inspiring. The awards celebrate achievements like overcoming adversity, performing extraordinary acts of kindness, and displaying immense courage.

The P&O Cruises Inspiration Award goes to Javeno McLean, who is transforming the lives of disabled, ill and elderly people with free sessions at his specially-equipped J7 Gym in Manchester.

Asha Ali Rage will receive the Special Recognition Award after creating Dream Chasers FC and using the sport to protect youngsters from gangs and give them opportunities.

A-listers who honoured the winners

While tonight is all about the nation’s unsung heroes, it also sees some of the biggest celebrities in the world walk the red carpet.

Since the first Pride of Britain Awards 26 years ago, royalty, prime ministers, global icons and huge stars have honoured our winners, including Sir Paul McCartney, Sharon Stone, Harry Styles, Janet Jackson, David Beckham, Taylor Swift, Anthony Joshua, Sir Mo Farah, Ant & Dec, Pierce Brosnan, and Idris Elba.

Other stars who honoured the winners were Sir Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Walters, Michael Sheen, Dame Maggie Smith, Sir Lenny Henry, Ed Sheeran, Harry Kane, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Marcus Rashford, Ne-Yo, KSI, Dame Joanna Lumley, Dame Helen Mirren, Westlife, Sir Trevor McDonald and Robert Downey Jr.

Hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, this year’s Pride of Britain Awards will once again air on ITV as a two-hour prime-time special feature.

Wrestler turned actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has already given one young winner an incredible surprise, which will be just one jaw-dropping moment in the show.

Tonight’s award ceremony will air on ITV on Thursday night from 8pm.
