EastEnders star, Danniella Westbrook, has been under the knife again in her latest bid to undo the devastating damage done by her crippling drug addiction

Danniella Westbrook has undergone a number of gruesome operations over the years. The EastEnders icon, 52, shocked fans this week when she revealed her new face after having more reconstructive surgery in a bid to undo the devastating damage done due to her past drug addiction.

The Sam Mitchell star, whose nose collapsed in 2002 following years of cocaine abuse, said she was looking forward to seeing the results of her latest operation in which she has had a full face, neck and brow lift in addition to a lip and nose reconstruction.

Fans were shocked to see the mum-of-two leaving the hospital in Dubai this week with her face severely swollen, bruised and wrapped in bandages.

However, it’s not Danniella’s first rodeo in brutal surgery. The star has been under the knife a number of times for boob jobs, nose jobs – and also to have a plate put in her face after her cheekbones ‘wasted away’…

Plate in her face after cheekbones ‘wasted away’

Danniella told the Mirror she nearly died after a botched operation in 2015. The actress suffered a severe bout of osteoporosis, which is a health condition that weakens bones.

Tragically, she was left with screws for teeth as her cheekbones “wasted away.”

In 2018, she told us: “They need to take a piece of bone out of my skull and put a plate into my face but they’ve got nothing to stick the plate on at the minute because the bone’s not strong enough.”

Has all her teeth removed

While Danniella was in the Celebrity Big Brother house she was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment after suffering agonising teeth pain.

Explaining that the “bone hadn’t closed around the screws” in her mouth, she said: “The bone hadn’t closed around the screws so they took me out of the house three times to a dentist, which they’re not meant to, because the pain was so bad.”

In more misery for Danniella, she even contracted septicaemia, which she battled in hospital for seven weeks.

The actress told fans she needed to have all her teeth removed and was given a denture to wear.

Reconstructive nose surgery

After Danniella’s crippling addiction to cocaine in the nineties, the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star was forced to have a nose reconstruction after her septum collapsed.

The actress, who found fame on EastEnders as a teenager, said she first tried the drug at 14 as a result of child abuse.

In her tell-all book, released in 2006, Danniella said she had her eroded septum and columella replaced in what was just the start of her surgery journey.

Boob jobs

Danniella is reported to have had at least seven boob jobs. She has ended up at a 34 DD, after revealing on Channel 5‘s Celebrity Botched Up Bodies she used to be a 34B.

The actress insisted she wanted them so large that they looked like “huge footballs” however, her doctor is said to have warned her that her frame was too small. But Danniella said she didn’t care and asked him to go bigger.

A rib inserted into her cheek

In 2022, Danniella made the shocking announcement that she wanted to have a rib put into her cheek to help reconstruct her face.

She told The Sun: “I hate the way I look. I’m constantly made fun of, and trolled for it.

“People message me, saying: ‘You’re so ugly, you’re a junkie, you should just go and kill yourself.’

“I’ve also had messages saying they are glad I’m not coming back to EastEnders because no one wants me scaring their kids on the telly.”

As well improving her face cosmetically, Daniella said the gruesome-sounding procedure would also help her breathing and sinus issues.

‘Fat out of my back and put into my face’

The actress flew to Turkey for her fifth facial reconstructive surgery in 2023.

Danniella told OK! she had thread lift, which involved 1,200 threads being put into her face.

The TV star also said she wanted a nose job but the surgery failed to straighten her nose despite the use of 200 threads.

In another attempt to rebuild her face, Danniella announced she had a fat transfer.

She said surgeons took “fat out of my back, my sides and my stomach, and put it into my face to make it more symmetrical.”

However, the actress soon regretted this procedure as she fumed that the ordeal was a “living nightmare.”

In 2025, Danniella went under the knife again for more facial surgery. Claiming doctors were happy with her progress, she wrote: “Today, I got the amazing news that I’m officially clear to move on to stage 2 of my recovery. Despite a rough patch with an infection (which was a known risk), my doctors are happy with how everything’s going – and that means everything to me.”

Latest surgery – ‘Everyday I glow and grow’

Danniella looks virtually unrecognisable after her latest round of reconstructive surgery. The EastEnders icon has gone under the knife again in Dubai with a full face, neck and brow lift in addition to a lip and nose reconstruction.

Seen before being taken into the operating theatre, the mum-of-two looked nervous in her hospital gown before being pictured several hours later, with her head wrapped in bandages.

The actress looks seriously swollen in the photos released on Tuesday as she left the hospital in a wheelchair, wearing a pink cotton dress and sliders, with her face, which is clearly bruised, heavily bandaged.

The surgery was performed by Danniella’s trusted Surgeon, Dr Parviz Sadigh, who has carried out operations on her in the past.

In an Instagram post shared last month, the actress said she was looking forward to the next round of surgery, writing: “A massive amount of love and respect to my Amazing surgeon @parvizsadigh for all his hard work. Every day I grow and glow xxxx. Thank you and roll on Feb for the next operation“.
