‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Gets High Praises From Critics For It’s Impressive Action And Grit

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again will be out soon. The show is based on Marvel Comics and features the much-loved character, ‘Daredevil’. The series will pick up the story of ‘Matt Murdock’/’Daredevil’, gathering allies to fight off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF) led by New York City Mayor, ‘Wilson Fisk’. Daredevil is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shares the same timeline as the franchise’s films and TV series that precede the current show. The show brings back Charlie Cox in the role of ‘Daredevil’/’Matt’.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will air on Disney+ on March 24, 2026 (ET) and consist of eight episodes. It will be a part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Praising the show, Rohan Patel of ComicBookMovie.com wrote on X, “This is the MCU at its finest, and [Charlie] Cox has never been better! Can’t wait for what’s next!” Aeron Eclarinal of The Direct also praised the show and penned, “It contains some of the top-tier MCU action scenes that never hold back. Kingpin is still ruthless, Daredevil is going all-out, but BULLSEYE? Holy Hell’s Kitchen. That man is a walking nightmare and the MVP of S2.”

Will Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 live up to the expectations?

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 had some major hype to live up to, as the ending of Season 1 showed ‘Wilson Fisk’ aka ‘Kingpin’ outlawing all the vigilantes. The finale saw an epic showdown in which ‘Daredevil’ and his allies planned to fight ‘Wilson’ from the dark. The actors playing the two leads, Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox, have mastered these characters since they’ve been playing them for a long time. Nonetheless, every time they return to the role, fans are left with the same level of excitement.

The social commentary in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 shines bright

Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again infamously underwent creative upheavals, including massive reshoots, to give fans more of what they wanted from the Netflix version. While the final product was well-received, some of its points felt a little disconnected. However, all of those kinks are said to have been worked through in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Film critic, Barndon Norwood, reflected on these changes and said:

“This is exactly what [Daredevil] fans are gonna want. Hard-hitting fights with good character and story work. So many places to go from here.”

Given the positive reviews being showered on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, one person who has risen to prominence is Deborah Ann Woll as ‘Daredevil’s’ friend, ‘Karen Page’. Nexus Point News commended the actress for her role, saying, “Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reignite their rivalry with their powerhouse performances, but it’s Deborah Ann Woll who gives her best performance yet as Karen Page and steals the show.” However, the upcoming season could also spark plenty of discussions, as Darren Movie Reviews said, “The writing’s exploration of justice, civil unrest, political manipulation and corruption, and vigilantism is riveting, building on the strong foundation of the first season while delivering great character work.”
