Just three days out from the world’s richest two-year-old showdown at Rosehill, another group of emerging juveniles lock horns at Wednesday’s feature Wyong meeting.

And daring to dream, Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker is eyeing off a double strike.

He saddles up early favourite Rachini in a 2YO Hcp over 1350m at Wyong before pinning his faith in quality duo Warwoven and Paradoxium for Saturday’s $5 million Group 1 Golden Slipper.

Certainly, Rachini could quickly be one of the better youngsters to come through the stable if all goes to plan in her first full preparation.

A daughter of prolific sprint sire Zoustar and bred by the China Horse Club, Rachini was put away after a fair spring debut at Caulfield in Listed company when based in the Leon and Troy Corstens stable.

Yet a decision soon after to head to Sydney looks to have set the filly on her way.

After dominating two Rosehill trials in February, she came back with a solid closing Saturday effort in the Group 2 Reisling (1200m), finishing four lengths from the ultra smart Chayan who immediately zoomed to the top of Slipper betting.

Coming back to provincial level, and jumping from the inside, Rachini is likely to start a short-priced favourite ahead of emerging filly Promenade from the Michael Freedman yard.

And it just might be the appetiser to the big two-year-old main course with Warwoven and Paradoxium in Saturday’s Slipper.

Seven days after a dominant win in the Group 3 Pago Pago (1200m), Warwoven was sitting on the equal second line of betting around $7.00, alongside Paradoxium coming into the final field announcement.

Warwoven’s only defeat in four starts came prior in the Group 2 Skyline (1200m) when forced to finish through grossly inferior inside ground.

Drawn wide in the Slipper, Paradoxium is an exciting son of Extreme Choice who has won two from three, the latest a dominant Group 2 win from the front in the Todman (1200m).

The Baker-trained pair are among many chances in the most open Golden Slipper in years.
