David and Victoria Beckham have offered to meet their son Brooklyn on his terms several times and are “desperate” to repair their relationship, a new report claims. The parents are said to be trying to heal the rift between them and their eldest child – despite him insisting he doesn’t want to reconcile with them.
In January 2026, Brooklyn ended months of speculation about the fractured relationship with his parents by posting a scathing statement to Instagram. In it, he accused his parents of trying to destroy his relationship with his wife and using their family to promote ‘Brand Beckham‘ at the expense of genuine connection.
He claimed the latter left him with anxiety as child. He also stated that he had no wish to improve his relationship with his family. This came after reports circulated that he had instructed his parents to stop contacting him, including via tags on social media, and send any communication through his lawyers instead.

The Cut, part of New York magazine, have now reported that the Beckhams did try to do as he said and get in contact via lawyers.
The publication reported that the parents have tried to reach Brooklyn in any way he desired – “with lawyers, the Peltz parents, siblings, a therapist, a mediator” and that they are “desperate to repair the relationship”. The Mirror approached the Beckhams for comment.
The Cut also revealed that Brooklyn suffered a huge humiliation during his wedding day, involving his footballer father. Brooklyn has previously claimed that his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz was marred by the actions of his parents, particularly his mother, who he said “hijacked” his first dance to “dance very inappropriately on” him.
According to the publication, Brooklyn was humiliated further during the ceremony. A source told them he was called by his dad’s name repeatedly, including when he and Nicola were exchanging their vows.

A guest claims that the rabbi was left stunned and “stuttered and asked for forgiveness” after calling Brooklyn “David”. He explained that he was a huge “soccer fan”.
However, he made the blunder again before the ceremony ended. One witness, according to the publication, described it as “uncomfortably Oedipal,” but many guests in attendance laughed it off.
The news comes after Brooklyn missed out on yet another family milestone amid his feud with his relatives. Amid the feud, Brooklyn has snubbed several events, including his father’s 50th birthday and knighthood ceremony.
Over the weekend, he missed another. The Beckham family jetted out to Miami to celebrate the completion of David’s $750 million football stadium, Miami Stadium, now named Nu Stadium, with Victoria sharing a gushing tribute to her husband as she and the family posed together.
The former Spice Girls star penned: “What an incredible night last night!!! We couldn’t be prouder @davidbeckham watching you turn your dream into reality inspires us all every day x. We love you so much!!! @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham @harperbeckham @jackie.apostel @kim_turnbull.”
