David Beckham has been working out shirtless for his social media followers and even reminded them that he is a huge fan of the 1990s sitcom Friends as he showed off his ripped physique
David Beckham has been working out shirtless for his social media followers. The sports star, 50, took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share a string of racy snaps where he showed off his ripped body.
In the background of one snap, it had become apparent that David, who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria and has Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and 14-year-old Harper with her, had tuned into an episode of the classic series Friends.
He captioned the post: “Working out with my FRIENDS & IM8 of course”. The star also made a point of showing off his IM8 product, a a daily supplement drink that contains 92 different vitamins, minerals, antioxidants.
The official Instagram account for the sitcom, which propelled Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and the late Matthew Perry to global fame in the 1990s, was one of the first to comment.
Referencing the programme’s famous theme song, the account wrote: “we’ll be there for you.” Other fans of the football star were quick to weigh into the comments section as several posted GIFs from the hit series.
The social media post is just the latest in which David has publicly ignored the public feud that has exploded with his eldest son Brooklyn following his wedding to heiress Nicola Peltz.
Earlier this year – after months of rumours of a feud between Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckhams – the former photographer shared a scathing statement on his social media slamming his parents and claiming he has no plans to reconcile with them.
It read: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn also accused his parents of prioritising the family brand over their personal relationships. “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first,” he said.
