The 21 year old has followed in the footsteps of his mum, Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, stepping into the spotlight as the frontman of Cruz Beckham And The Breakers. Speaking on talkSPORT Drive with Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent, the former Manchester United star, 50, heaped praise on his son’s band, saying they are doing “incredibly well”.

He said: “Cruz has been working on his music since he was about eight or nine years old. And he’s all of a sudden got a band together. He’s released an album. It’s Cruz Beckham And The Breakers. They’re doing incredibly well. They’re traveling around the UK.

Cruz Beckham And The Breakers are currently wrapping up the final leg of their debut UK and EU tour, with an exciting summer ahead as they prepare to take on the US. The indie outfit are also set to grace the stages of several major British festivals later this year, including Reading and Leeds and the Rock N Roll Circus. His parents, affectionately known as Posh and Becks, have been regulars at performances throughout the tour, with his father taking to Instagram earlier this month to commend him for “following the family traditions of playing in Manchester”.

Sir David and Lady Beckham, recognised by admirers as Posh Spice, were also photographed at Cruz Beckham And The Breaker’s packed-out gig in east London on Tuesday. During the gig Cruz Beckham reduced his brother Romeo to tears with a song understood to be about Brooklyn.

An eyewitness told The Sun: “Romeo was sitting on a barrier at the back of the theatre with David and Victoria and he became visibly emotional when Cruz started singing Loneliest Boy. He wiped away tears and Victoria put her arms around his shoulder to comfort him. It’s such a heartfelt song and Cruz appeared to be struggling to sing it at points, too.
