India-US Ties: The Embassy of the United States in India shared a message from US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, in which he reaffirmed the “strategic partnership” between New Delhi and Washington and called Prime Minister Modi a “great friend.”
In a post on the social media platform X, the embassy quoted US President Trump as saying, “India is home to one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It is an amazing country and an important strategic partner for America in the Indo-Pacific region. We have a great friend in PM Modi.”

According to ANI, ‘Pax Silica’ is the US Department of State’s flagship initiative on artificial intelligence and supply chain security, which aims to build a shared economic security framework among allies and trusted partners.
As per the US Department of State, this initiative aims to create a silicon supply chain that spans critical minerals and energy inputs, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and logistics.
The initiative also aims to reduce coercive dependencies, protect materials and capabilities critical to artificial intelligence, and enable aligned nations to develop and deploy transformative technologies at scale.
The group is led by the US and includes Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia, with India notably absent.
PM Modi-Trump Phone Conversation
PM Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Trump last week, with both leaders discussing bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.
“Had a very warm and engaging conversation with President Trump. We reviewed the progress in our bilateral relations and discussed regional and international developments. India and the US will continue to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity,” PM Modi posted on X after the telephonic call.
According to IANS, last month, Trump said that he plans to visit India soon, praising PM Modi as a “great man” and his “friend.”
