Dhurandhar has been making waves in the Hindi film industry since the time it was released on December 5, 2025. The movie made headlines, and within a few days, it just hit the Rs. 1000 crore mark at the global box office. The movie was released on Netflix on January 31, 2026. The teaser of the sequel was released on March 19, 2026. However, the teaser left everyone a bit disappointed, as it added nothing new except the same post-credit scene shown in Part 1. Well, some of the viewers felt that the background music was the latest addition to the teaser. Well, it was not, and there’s a catch!
Dhurandhar Part 2’s background music has been credited to Doja Cat: Here’s why?
For the unversed, the background music that the teaser of Dhurandhar Part 2 introduced left the viewers excited. However, to mention Doja Cat was credited for the same, and the music was borrowed from her song, Ahh Men. On the other hand, people have been saying that the same kind of music was used in the 1982 series Knight Riders. Well, Dhurandhar’s music had been something, from the remakes, love songs to the title track, the songs of the movie kept the people on their toes. For the unversed, the music rights of the movie’s second part have been shifted from Saregama to T-Series.
Dhurandhar 2 already made a massive deal with JioHotstar
Dhurandhar 1 has been released on Netflix on January 31, 2026, and reportedly, the OTT received the streaming rights in exchange for Rs. 130 crores, for two parts. Later, it was revealed that Netflix had acquired the streaming rights to Part 1 for Rs. 85 crore. On the other hand, Part 2 has made a deal with JioHotstar. Reportedly, JioHotstar made the deal with the makers in exchange for Rs. 150 crore, which is a massive budget.
Bollywood Hungama’s trade analyst report claimed that the movie’s streaming ownership has gone to JioHotstar, which has been waiting for the right time, after Netflix pitched a Rs. 175 crore deal for both parts of the movie. Well, one thing is assured: the movie has already left people excited for Part 2.
People were disappointed because the teaser release announcement left them excited, but when it was revealed that the teaser was actually the exact same post-credit scene from Part 1, they were left disappointed. Part 2 will be released on March 19, 2026, and will reveal the story in layers. The movie is allegedly part of Aditya Dhar’s spy universe, as it’s connected to URI: The Surgical Strike, and people feel like the director is about to unveil the universe through such roles, which have inspired his characters.
