Dhurandhar : Aditya Dhar Praises Shashwat Sachdevâs Musical Prowess

In a recent Instagram post, filmmaker Aditya Dhar shared a heartfelt note, praising music composer Shashwat Sachdev for his musical brilliance. The recent release of his films, both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, became a massive hit at the box office and left the audience in awe. What makes the films even more popular are their extremely catchy and beautiful songs, all composed by the national award-winning composer Shashwat Sachdev, reaching the global charts.

Dhar’s journey with Sachdev is not just musical but equally emotional. The director took to Instagram to post about Shashwat and wrote, “Here’s to Shashwat Sachdev. Some collaborations go beyond work, they become deeply personal. Not just the music composer of Dhurandhar, but someone I see as a younger brother, someone I’ve shared chaos, silence, ideas, and some of the most intense creative days with. What he’s done on this film still doesn’t feel real when I say it out loud.
9 songs in 9 days for Dhurandhar, with the entire BGM done in 6 days. And then Dhurandhar: The Revenge, 14 songs in 11 days, BGM in 3. At that speed, at that scale, with that kind of emotional depth and that kind of extraordinary quality, it’s beyond crazy.
And what makes it even more unreal is how both the albums, released within a span of 3 months, reached top global charts, with almost every song being loved and celebrated, something that’s an absolute rarity for any film in the world.”  

Dhar further added how his house had stopped being a house at a point and had turned into a living, breathing studio, where music became the centre of every conversation, with recordings taking place in the bedrooms, writing in the balconies, and the singers and musicians walking in and out endlessly. Time stretched to a point that made no real sense, which could be termed as nothing, but what you may call sheer madness. 

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), which is a sequel to the 2025 film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil, with several actors reprising their roles from the first film, continues to hype the audience creating box office history, by becoming the first Hindi film to cross Rs 1,000 crore net in India within 19 days.  It also broke records in North America, surpassing Baahubali 2.
